The Salmon Atelier is a Belgian family company with a direct way of working. We know the people we work with, we know the product, and we stay close to every order that moves through the atelier.

No layers between the question and the people doing the work. Just a short line, clear responsibility and salmon made for the customer it belongs to.

Heritage

Going upstream since 1923.

Generation after generation, we have chosen the less obvious path when we believed it was the better one.

That still shapes how we work today. We do not follow the logic of producing ahead simply because the industry does. We take responsibility for the longer route when it gives us more control over what reaches our customers.

We work on-demand

We believe food should only be made because someone asked for it.

Much of the salmon industry works from forecasts and stock. We chose another model.

At The Salmon Atelier, we don’t produce first and look for an order afterwards. We start with your order. Only then do we cut, trim, portion and pack the salmon to your exact specification.

That is the principle behind made-on-demand: make what is needed, when it is needed, for the customer who asked for it.
